With MOVIMOT® performance ELV, SEW-EURODRIVE is expanding the range of its decentralized compact extra-low voltage drives with DC 48 V supply to include network-capable versions. The use of drives with Ethernet-based communication interfaces enables the user to have highly flexible process control and consistent material flow monitoring, especially in plants with complex transport systems.
The current addition to the portfolio combines the benefits of compact extra-low voltage gearmotors with the benefits of the latest generation of the MOVI-C® communication platform and the MOVISUITE® engineering tool from SEW-EURODRIVE. MOVIMOT® performance ELV combines a permanently excited synchronous motor with a dynamic drive controller and high-performance communication interface. The user temporarily has up to 350 percent of the motor’s continuous torque available for acceleration processes or material flow peaks. This enables decentralized drive solutions with high power density and high efficiency. All connections are made consistently using standardized M12 connectors with different coding. They enable quick and error-free installation, even under time pressure or difficult site conditions. The fully pluggable safety extra-low voltage version saves on specific installation measures for electrical personal protection and reduces the demands on the personnel performing the work.
In combination with the tried-and-tested planetary, flat and right-angle gears from the modular system from SEW-EURODRIVE, MOVIMOT® performance ELV enables needs-optimized project planning and flexibility when integrating the drive into the respective application or system. The drives are optionally available with a PROFINET, Ethernet or EtherCAT® interface.
